The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released a notification for the recruitment of Constable (Technical, Tradesman, and Pioneer) posts. A total of 9,195 (Male/Female) vacancies have been announced in the official notification.

This CRPF recruitment process offers a huge government job opportunity for matriculate (10th pass) candidates across India to join the paramilitary force in 18 different trades.

State-wise Vacancy

The vacancies are distributed across various States and Union Territories. Uttar Pradesh leads with the highest number of vacancies (1,230), followed by West Bengal (754) and Bihar (700). Other major states include Maharashtra (688), Tamil Nadu (681), and Andhra Pradesh (507).

Eligibility Criteria

The CRPF has set specific benchmarks for age and education based on the trade applied for:

1. Educationa Qualifications

  • Constable (Driver): Must have passed Matriculation (10th) and possess a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License.
  • Motor Mechanic Vehicle: 10th pass with a 2-year ITI certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle and one year of experience.
  • Other Trades (Cook, Barber, Tailor, etc.): 10th pass from a recognized board and must be proficient in the respective trade.

2. Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2026)

  • Driver Posts: 21 to 27 years.
  • All Other Trades: 18 to 23 years.
  • Note: Age relaxation applies for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and Ex-servicemen.

3. Physical Standards (PST)

  • Height: 170 cm (Male) | 157 cm (Female).
  • Chest (Male): 80 cm with a minimum 5 cm expansion.

Selection Process

The selection will be a multi-stage process designed to test both physical endurance and technical knowledge:

  1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standards Test (PST): Running and physical measurements.
  2. Computer Based Test (CBT): objective-type written examination.
  3. Trade/Skill Test: A practical test of the chosen trade (Qualifying nature).
  4. Document Verification (DV) Medical Examination (DME/RME).

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-3 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix.

  5. Pay Fee: General, EWS, and OBC male candidates must pay Rs. 100. SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, and all female candidates are exempted from the fee.
